Statement
With regard to frequent and various manipulation attempts, we would like to inform you that certain political movements have told complete untruths today about the activities of members of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence.
Yesterday, a total of 650 members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces were vaccinated at the vaccination point in Hall 11 of the Belgrade Fair. Among them were members of the General Staff, the Army, the Air Force and Air Defence, the Training Command, the Guard, the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and organizational units of the Ministry of Defence.
All 650 vaccinated members serve in the Belgrade garrison, which clearly shows that the abovementioned movements tell direct untruths.
Also, we note that a total of 703 members had applied to be vaccinated at the Fair yesterday, and that in the first few days, about 6,000 members of our system applied to receive the vaccine.
We understand the interests of certain political groups that lie in failure to vaccinate soldiers, but we emphasize that spreading various conspiracy theories about vaccines and lies about the military, for the sake of scoring political points, are extremely harmful and irresponsible and speak about their creators.
We will continue to vaccinate all members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who have decided to be vaccinated, because we want them to stay healthy, so that they and their families are protected from this vicious disease, and so that they can continue performing their tasks and serving Serbia.
