Military Academy’s “Akademac” shooting club – the most successful Belgrade club and the second in the Serbian Shooting Sport Federation’s 2020 rankings
The Serbian Shooting Sport Federation published its rankings of the most successful clubs and individuals in 2020, in which the Military Academy’s "Akademac" Shooting Club ranks second, while three shooters are among the most successful shooters in the 2020 individual rankings. "Akademac" is top-ranked among Belgrade clubs in 2020.
In 2020, the shooters of the "Akademac" Shooting Club achieved the best ranking in the history of the club, winning 483.3 points in competitions that are scored in accordance with the Serbian Shooting Sport Federation’s Rulebook for the selection of the most successful clubs and shooters.
In addition to the above, in 2020, two state records were set, the championship title in the centre-fire pistol event was defended at the Serbian Championship, the championship title in the mixed doubles event was won at the Serbian Championship and more than 30 individual and team medals were won. As members of the Serbian national team, the "Akademac" shooters won two team medals at the European Championship in Wroclaw.
The individual rankings of the most successful shooters in 2020 included members of the Military Academy’s Sports Unit: military employee Jasmina Milovanović took 3rd place at the women’s pistol event for seniors while military employee Dimitrije Grgić took 3rd place and Lieutenant Petar Nikolić 4th place at the men’s pistol event for seniors.
The backbone of the club, which was first registered as a military sports association in 2020, are professional members, the Military Academy cadets, the Military Grammar School and the Secondary Vocational Military School students, as well as members of the Military Academy’s Sports Unit.
The Serbian Shooting Sport Federation’s award ceremony will be held at the end of January, when awards and trophies will be presented to the three best clubs, while the best individuals will be awarded the Serbian Shooting Sport Federation’s "Shooter of the Year" award.
