State Secretary Živković meets with Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate for Political-Military Affairs of the Russian Armed Forces General Miskovets
State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Aleksandar Živkovic met with the Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate for Political-Military Affairs of the Russian Armed Forces, Major General Viktor Miskovets today. Major General Miskovets is leading the delegation of the Russian Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces which has brought the fire to light “Eternal Flame“ at the monument in Belgrade bearing the same name.
During the talks, collocutors agreed that, as part of cooperation between the two countries in the field of defence, special attention was paid to preserving honourable traditions in our ancestors’ fight for freedom and independence. The importance of nurturing the two countries’ spirit of freedom was especially emphasized, as well as passing it on to younger generations to proudly preserve the memory of their glorious ancestors who, by sacrificing their lives, had enabled their descendants to live in peace and freedom.During the meeting, it was emphasized that bilateral cooperation with the Russian Armed Forces was constantly developing in all fields and that there was room for further progress. State Secretary Živković expressed gratitude for Russian Defence Ministry’s assistance to the Serbian Armed Forces in the fight against the Covid-19 epidemic and for numerous donations that had contributed to further development of the Serbian Armed Forces’ capabilities.
