Minister of Defence extends congratulations on Army and Infantry Day
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, extended congratulations today on 16 November – Army and Infantry Day.
Minister Stefanovic’s congratulatory message to members of the Army reads as follows:
“I congratulate all members of the Army on 16 November – Day of their service.
By preserving a more than a century-long tradition as members of the oldest and largest service of the Serbian Armed Forces, your units have performed numerous assigned tasks this year, achieved notable results in the field of training and professional development and managed to maintain the required level of operational capabilities, despite complex circumstances in which you work.
You have successfully carried out the tasks in the Ground Security Zone and showed a high level of training and professionalism, constantly contributing to the strengthening of the Serbian Armed Forces’ and Serbia’s reputation.
I congratulate you on your holiday, hoping that in the coming period, you will continue to execute your tasks professionally and superbly in addition to modernizing your units and institutions”, reads Minister Stefanovic’s message.

“I congratulate all members of the Infantry on 16 November – Day of their branch.
Nurturing a more than a century-long tradition and proudly preserving the memory of the Kolubara Battle heroes, you, as the largest and the most resilient army branch, manage to maintain the required level of operational capabilities by professionally and successfully performing the assigned tasks.
Thanks to the new model of organisation, your infantry units have become a basic and independent battle force, and through technological modernisation of your branch and upgrading your units, you are contributing to the further development of the Army, as well as the Serbian Armed Forces as a whole.
I congratulate you on your holiday, hoping that you will continue to successfully perform the set tasks in the future and be a strong support to our country’s defence system in cooperation with other branches and services of the Serbian Armed Forces”, reads Minister Stefanovic’s congratulatory message.
