President of the Republic and Supreme Commander extends congratulations on Army Day
President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić extended congratulations on 16 November – Army Day which reads as follows:
“I congratulate all members of the Army on 16 November – Day of their service.
Continuing more than a century-long tradition of the Serbian Armed Forces, despite complex circumstances in which you work and thanks to your competence, sense of responsibility and professionalism, you preserve the Serbian Armed Forces’ reputation and prove every day that you are worthy descendants of the Kolubara Battle heroes.
As members of the largest service of the Serbian Armed Forces, you have provided full support to strengthening the peace, security and stability in our region. Your units execute the tasks set before them and achieve notable results in the field of training and qualifying Army members and other participants in the defence and security of our country.
I am convinced that you will continue to work on the started reforms, make a full contribution to the further reorganisation of the Serbian Armed Forces and be an important factor in the modern military organisation, in keeping with the adopted, verified and confirmed international standards and criteria.
I congratulate you on your holiday, hoping that in the coming period you will continue to professionally and successfully execute the assigned tasks and modernize your units and institutions, for which you will have the Republic of Serbia’s support”, reads the congratulatory message from President Vučić.
