Statement
Regarding the unauthorised photographing of a patient in the temporary hospital “Štark Arena“ and posting them on social media, and thus violating all ethical and moral norms of civilized behaviour by persons who participated in this illegal and utterly immoral act, the Ministry of Defence has taken all legal measures to protect the privacy of patients accommodated in this facility and promptly informed competent state authorities in order to determine the identity and legal accountability of persons who violated patient privacy.
The Ministry of Defence strongly condemns such behaviour. It is particularly unfathomable that anyone would commit such inhumane acts in a situation when the state is doing its best to protect citizens’ health and prevent the spread of the coronavirus epidemic and health professionals are putting in superhuman efforts to save the lives of our citizens infected with Covid-19.
