Minister Stefanović meets with German Ambassador Schieb
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, met with the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Thomas Schieb, today.
Minister Stefanović thanked the Ambassador for Germany’s donations and assistance in the field of education and training of members of the Serbian Armed Forces. He pointed out that the crown of cooperation so far is our joint engagement in the EU-Training Mission in Mali and he suggested that we continue cooperation and the exchange of experience in the field of multinational operations.
Ambassador Schieb congratulated Minister Stefanović on his new position and wished him success in his future endeavours. He estimated that the relations between Serbia and Germany are characterised by sound cooperation and thanked for the opportunity for a German officer to receive education in the military educational institutions of the Ministry of Defence. He suggested considering closer cooperation in PECSO projects, in which Germany is one of the leading nations.
