Minister Stefanović: I am honoured to be in charge of defence portfolio which is deeply respected by our people
The Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović, PhD, stated today for “Pink“ television that he is deeply honoured to have been given the opportunity by the President of the Republic of Serbia to take charge of a very big and complex portfolio, which has a long tradition and is deeply respected by our people.
- My job is to work hard and help equip the Serbian Armed Forces even more intensively in the coming period. I had very good conversations with the Chief of the General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, and he and his cabinet laid out their vision of the future development of the armed forces, what they still need to be even stronger, said Stefanović in Podgorica when asked by reporters about his first impressions after taking over the defence portfolio.
Minister Stefanović says that he will continue all the projects started by President Vučić and other ministers of defence after him, and that new projects will be launched that will ensure greater combat readiness of our armed forces and their ability to protect the interests of our people at all times.
- I believe that in the next year and a half we will manage to achieve those results, said Minister Stefanović.
