Minister Vulin: The First Brigade has made an enormous contribution to the fight against Covid and our people must not forget that

Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited the units of the First Army Brigade in the “Boško Palkovljević” barracks in Sremska Mitrovica today.

The Commander of the First Brigade, Brigadier General Zoran Nasković, presented Minister Vulin with the Plaque of the First Brigade, as a sign of gratitude for strengthening that unit.
Minister Vulin emphasized that members of the First Army Brigade proved their worth many times.

- They competed in the military biathlon in the Russian Federation, they showed their capability of handling multiple rocket launchers and the readiness of their tank crews at the exercise “Joint Action 2020”, but more than anything, they proved their worth and their love of their homeland during the first wave of the coronavirus. The First Brigade suffered the heaviest blow and was on the frontline of defence. Thanks to their perseverance, work, enthusiasm, patience and courage, hundreds of our citizens who arrived from abroad, and later thousands of them, were received, taken care of and protected at that time – emphasized Minister Vulin.

According to him, the First Brigade made an enormous contribution to the fight against Covid at that time, and our country and our people will not and must not forget that.
  - All our members are healthy now, they are all well, they perform their regular tasks, but if necessary, they will help their country again – said Minister Vulin.

During the visit, Minister Vulin was shown the vehicle park, and he attended the presentation of training of a tank platoon of the 15th Tank Battalion and a gun battery of the 13th Self-Propelled Multiple Rocket Launcher Artillery Battalion.
