Congratulatory message of the Minister of Defence on the Military Paratroopers Day
I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all military paratroopers on 14th October – The Military Paratroopers Day.
In memory of 14 October 1944, when the 1st Parachute Battalion of the Yugoslav People’s Liberation Movement was formed in Gravina near Bari, today we celebrate this important holiday which is celebrated, as of this year, as the Day of the 63rd Parachute Brigade, and it is also celebrated by all other military paratroopers.
Being always the first to defend the homeland and crowned with glory, military paratroopers are the elite of all armed forces. The Serbian Armed Forces are proud of their paratroopers and their deeds.
I congratulate you on your holiday convinced that you will successfully carry out all assigned tasks in the coming period.
