Minister Vulin: Not every EU member has to recognize “Kosovo“
"I am very happy that the Spokesperson for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the EU, Mr Peter Stano, referred to UN Security Council Resolution 478, relating to the conflict in the Middle East. It certainly means that there has been a turn in the EU policy and that UN Security Council Resolution 1244 will from now on be the guiding principle in the EU policy when it comes to the problem in Kosovo and Metohija”, said the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin tonight in response to Peter Stano’s statement asking Serbia not to relocate its embassy to Jerusalem.
- Serbia is an independent country and until Serbia becomes a member of the EU and thus make it richer, Serbia does not have to adhere to every position of the EU, just as every EU member does not have to recognize the so-called Kosovo – said Minister Vulin.
