for permanent position placement
in capacity as a civilian

Assigned position to be filled:
Bookstore manager-operator in the Group for Commercial Transactions of Division for Financial and Commercial Affairs in Media Centre “Odbrana”, of Public Relations Department in MoD - one (1) employee
COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces employed in the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ministry of Defence are eligible to apply if they meet the following criteria:
A) General conditions:
The candidate must be a national of the Republic of Serbia;
The candidate has to be medically and psycho-physically fit for the service in the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces;
The candidate was not sentenced to imprisonment in duration of more than six months;
The candidate underwent a security clearance and there are not security hindrances for admission in the professional military service in accordance with the regulations which define conduct of security screenings in the Ministry of Defence;
The candidate’s employment in a state institution was not terminated in the past because of a serious breach of previous duty;
B) Specific conditions:
The candidate should possess:
A security clearance to access and use classified information and documents;
ECDL Certificate of passing modules 3, 4, 6 and 7, and
Four-year high school education, educational profile: economic technician or financial technician.
MANNER OF APPLICATION:
The application for the competition in a state body should contain: Information on the competition; personal information; address of residence, telephone number, e-mail address; education; special and other tests passed by the applicant which are condition for the employment; information about computer skills; additional education; work experience; specific conditions; voluntarily given statement on belonging to a national minority; especially statement important for participation in competition procedures in state bodies.
Application form for the competition in a state body should be requested from Personnel service bodies of one’s unit.
Documents to be enclosed with the application are the following:
validated copy of high school diploma;
validated copy of certificates on completed each grade of high school education;
filled and validated form and consent for the conduct of security screening (to be requested in the command of the unit of current employment);
certificate stating that the applicant’s previous employment in a state body was not terminated because of a serious breach of duty.
Commands of the units-establishments, along with the candidate’s application, obtain and enclose the following documents:
a) certificate of nationality (original or a certified copy);
b) birth certificate (original or a certified copy);
c) certificate by superior officer on the years of service and insurance from KAIS programme package;
d) verified KOLP form from KAIS programme package.
SELECTION OF CANDIDATES TO FILL THE POSITION:
The criteria to be applied in selection procedure will be the ones stipulated by Decision on criteria for admission of civilians into service in the Serbian Armed Forces through public competition and without public competition (“Official Military Journal” No. 13/2019 and 20/20) which encompass the average grade score of the last education level (40% of the total number of points) and psychological evaluation of candidates (30% of the total number of points) and interview with candidates (30% of the total number of points).
Candidates whose applications have been filed in timely fashion, with consent, which are coherent, complete, and with all required proofs enclosed, and who meet all conditions for employment in work places they apply for will be sent to psychological evaluation of capabilities to responsible military health establishments. The said evaluation is carried out by means of standardised tests. The candidates will receive information in writing about date, time and place of the evaluation of psychological capabilities on addresses given in application.
The candidates who do not pass psychological evaluation or who do not answer the call to participate in this phase of selection process, will lose their right to participate in further selection process.
An interview will be conducted with the candidates who meet requirements of evaluation of psychological capabilities. The candidates will receive information in writing about date, time and place of the interview on addresses given in application.
Also, in case of candidates who meet the conditions of the competition, a security screening will take place with their written consent in accordance with the Rulebook on security screenings for individuals which is conducted by the Military Security Agency.
The candidates who do not answer the call in any phase of the selection process will lose their right to participate in the selection process.
Shortlisted candidates, prior to their employment, will submit medical certificate on their overall medical fitness.
Deadline for filing the application for the internal competition is 15 (fifteen) days and it starts running on the day following that of opening the competition in the magazine “ODBRANA” and on website of the Ministry of Defence (www.mod.gov.rs).
All information relative to the competition can be obtained on the phone 011/3603-894 (civilian line) and 40-894 (military line).
The candidates’ applications will be sent by commands of units/establishments with necessary documentation by official post to Media Centre “Odbrana”, Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defence of Republic of Serbia, individually in closed envelope with inscription “For competition commission” 19 Braće Jugovića Street, Belgrade.
Note: belated applications, applications without consent, incoherent and incomplete applications, and the ones lacking all required proofs either original or their copies verified by a notary, will not be taken into consideration and they will be discarded via solution.
In compliance with provisions of Article 125 of the Law on Armed Forces, additional advantage is given to candidates who are spouses or family members of a killed professional serviceman of the Serbian Armed Forces, a serviceman who was killed or died from consequences of injuries sustained while performing service in the Serbian Armed Forces, to a child of a killed warrior, spouse of professional members of Serbian Armed Forces transferred from one to another place of service and spouse, or family member of professional serviceman.
The internal competition is carried out by the Competition Commission nominated by the minister of defence. This competition is published on the web page of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and magazine “Odbrana”.
