Minister Vulin: This is a follow-up of a special war against the Serbian Armed Forces and the Supreme Commander
- This is clearly a follow-up of a special war led against our country, our armed forces and it is led against President Aleksandar Vučić. All the entities under his direct command, for which he is in charge of under Constitution – Supreme Commander of the armed forces, he manages defence industry of Serbia – are the entities which suffer the greatest and merciless attacks – stated this evening Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin appearing in the evening news of the Radio Television of Serbia, commenting on the lies which had appeared in media and social networks stating that the Serbian Armed Forces participated in suppression of demonstrations in Belarus.
Pointing to the photographs that had appeared on social networks and in certain media, Minister Vulin said that they showed armoured Humvees and photographs of the exercise “Joint Strike” executed by the Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Interior in Kraljevo in 2018.
- One photograph, which can be found on the site of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces, shows a vehicle that we received in a framework of a donation made by the United States of America, and it is used by the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and one squad in Training Command when we prepare our men for peacekeeping missions. The second photograph is the one signed with “Minsk, 9th August” – the liar first tried to show that there are the Serbian Armed Forces with our insignia, that there are some vehicles of ours, the Humvees, and since they already exist, he stresses that he recognised them in Minsk. Nine of our members are currently in Belarus, in Brest, isolated on one military training area where they are conducting preparations for the event “Sniper Frontier” – minister of defence explained and said that the Serbian Armed Forces had participated for years in the International Military Games and that they were carrying out preparations for those Games in that moment.
- What you saw here is the first lie. Our soldiers arrived in Minsk on 10th August, more precisely they did not even come to Minsk, but they flew on a commercial flight to Minsk, and they did not drive around the city, but they were immediately transferred to the training are in Minsk. Hence, it is the first lie. The other one is that the photograph shows an unarmoured Humvee. The Serbian Armed Forces do not possess a single unarmoured Humvee, but we do have solely armoured Humvees, and not a single Humvee belonging to the Serbian Armed Forces has ever left the territory of the Republic of Serbia, especially not the one which we do not possess. The people on the photographs wearing semi-visible insignia of the Serbian Armed Forces, have masks on them. They wear masks in order to make it look more authentic, since this is the time of corona virus. This is a downright lie, and a downright photo manipulation – the Minister Vulin stressed and continuing his explanation of the false photographs said that the statements that “there exist mercenaries who wear uniforms and insignia of their state” was completely false.
- This cannot be our soldiers in Minsk, because they have never been there and because we do not possess this assed, because they did not wear masks. Since the outbreak of corona virus, we have not sent a single soldier to any joint exercise of such type. The only possibility of this being our soldiers is if the picture was taken several years ago at NATO training area Hohenfels where they underwent preparations in the framework of “Partnership for Peace” and where they operated such assets. They could not have been in Minsk, nor were they there.
On the next photograph, there is our member, an exquisite officer, and leader of our sniper team. It is Captain Milentije Ristić, leader of our team who is currently in isolation and conducting preparations, who was accompanied by his Belarus host Lieutenant Colonel Shtuk to a market to buy some fruit and juices. The said photograph was taken by a lady who noticed the flag and wondered if those were the Russians. They explained to her that those were not the Russians but the Serbs and that was all – Minister Vulin underlined adding that the liar tried to “place Serbia in Belarus” by publishing all the photographs and photo manipulations and using the web of incomprehensible lies.
- It is absolutely clear that this is the continuation of a special war against the Serbian Armed Forces and against Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić. It is certain that the state of Serbia will not interfere in any way in internal affairs of any country, especially not Belarus. Everything that is under direct command of Aleksandar Vučić will be directly and incessantly under attacks, and they will always try to smear it and drag it through mud. The man who published all of that signed himself on Twitter account as associate of the Atlantic Council and an expert for fight against Chinese and Russian disinformation. Now you see how he fights and what disinformation is – the minister of defence said and stated that it was a shame that certain our portals, one of them being property of Đilas, immediately transmitted this news and positively so, in the meaning “we are busted, look what Serbia does”. It is also shame that they hate their country so much and that they transmit every lie.
