Minister Vulin: We must not keep quiet about Serbian victims

- I expect the Deputy Prime Minister of Croatia, Boris Milošević, to call Minister Medved, to talk to him and tell him that he cannot interfere in Serbia’s internal affairs, that it is completely unacceptable and that he should apologize to Serbia. What do they want? To decide who will be in power in Serbia? The citizens of Serbia decide on that, no one else. The Croats, at least a part of their society, have an unmistakable feeling of who works in the interest of Serbia and they come down on them like a ton of bricks, and that is the best proof that President Vučić is doing his job well - said the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin today, as a guest on the morning program of Pink Television, commenting on the reactions from Croatia that "Serbian politics needs a turnaround".

As Minister Vulin pointed out, the representatives of the Croatian Government are sad that Boris Tadić is no longer in power, because it was possible to talk to him, as they say.

- Of course, it was possible to talk to him when it was the politics of apology, politics in which Serbia did not strengthen its armed forces, nor did they care about refugees, nor about property rights, nor about the work experience of those people, nor did they mark anniversaries of Operation "Storm". They said that Croats can celebrate the banishment of Serbs, but we will not, because we are looking to the future. I wonder what future, the one in which we must not say that 250,000 people were expelled and 2,000 were killed? It is the truth that makes strong relations between people - said the Minister of Defence and wondered whether Serbs and Croats should have good relations because they will lie to themselves and keep quiet about what was done to our people.

- That is not possible with President Vučić. He knows that it would be much better for him to be silent, not to talk about it, to pretend that everything is fine. But he won't, because he is a Serb. As far as we are concerned, we want to work together, we want a peaceful Balkans, precisely because Serbs live on the entire territory of the former Yugoslavia. We want peace everywhere, we want everyone to be protected, safe and secure - said Minister Vulin and emphasized that Operation "Storm" occurred because we had been silent about Jasenovac.

- We must not keep quiet about Serbian victims. Croatian politicians say "Storm" is not ethnic cleansing. What is it then? What is it called when you expel 250,000 citizens of your country, all Serbs, by the way? What is it, if not ethnic cleansing? President Aleksandar Vučić is the first Serbian statesman who had the courage to say that NATO bombing was an aggression and that Operation "Storm" was a crime, to mark its anniversary and continue to fight for peace, to preserve relations in the region, but not to allow the Serbian people to be humiliated, to forget, to be silent - Minister Vulin pointed out and expressed gratitude to President Vučić, because he had the courage to say it and to repeat it.

- I know how much it costs him in the political sense, what questions he is asked after each commemoration of the crimes committed during "Storm", I know how they attack him when he says that a crime took place in Srebrenica, not genocide. I know how much courage it takes to protect Republika Srpska the way

Aleksandar Vučić protects it, and how much courage it takes to go to Brussels and say that Serbia will not recognize "Kosovo" whatever the price. He carries that burden and he is in a very difficult situation because of that - said Minister Vulin and pointed out that Aleksandar Vučić submitted an important document in the Assembly - the National Defence Strategy where it was stated for the first time that Serbia is a neutral country and that Serbia regards attacks on Serbs no matter where they live as a threat to itself.
