Meeting of the Minister of Defence with Future Defence Attachés
Today, in the Small War Hall of the Old General Staff, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin spoke to the officers of the Military Intelligence Agency, who will in the period to come undertake duties of defence attachés or assistant defence attachés of the Republic of Serbia abroad.
Minister Vulin familiarised the officers who are about to go to diplomatic missions, with fundamental foreign policy principles of the Republic of Serbia, and with focal tasks in the framework of bilateral military cooperation with the states they are going to. The foreign policy of the Republic of Serbia, military neutrality and our national interests represent a framework for the work and engagement of military attachés. Their task is also to support diplomatic efforts of the state leadership, diplomatic representatives and of President and Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vučić in further building and enhancement of international renown of the Republic of Serbia and development of cooperation with the states where they will discharge their duties.
A special task and responsibility of our military diplomatic representatives is to represent the Republic of Serbia and Serbian Armed Forces in a dignified manner, and to develop many-sided and as rich as possible military cooperation, and to promote the achievements of Serbian defence industry.
Director of the Military Intelligence Agency Brigadier General Zoran Stojković was also present at the meeting of the minister of defence with future defence attachés or assistant defence attachés.
