Telephone Conversation of Minister Vulin with Cypriot Minister of Defence Petrides
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin had a telephone conversation with newly appointed Minister of Defence of the Republic of Cyprus Charalambos Petrides. At the beginning of the conversation Minister Vulin wished success to Minister Petrides on his new duty.
He also conveyed greetings from President of the Republic and Supreme Commander Aleksandar Vučić to Presided of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades.
Minister Vulin expressed gratitude for active support and principled position of Cyprus regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia and he expressed strong support to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus.
Minister Petrides stressed that he encouraged the continuation of dialogue between Belgrade and Priština aimed at arriving at a long-term political solution which was in the interest of and acceptable to the Republic of Serbia.
At the meeting, the two ministers agreed to meet at the earliest opportunity when they would consider the continuation of bilateral military cooperation, primarily by execution of joint exercises and development of military economic and military education cooperation.
To that end, they stated their expectation that the fight to contain and stop the Corona virus pandemic would yield positive results, which would enable the continuation of initiated and realiation of agreed activities.
