Help of the Serbian Armed Forces to Municipalities Afflicted by Floods
Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović visited today the water intake Rzinje in the municipality of Ivanjica, where, starting from tomorrow, members of Serbian the Armed Forces will carry out engineering works necessary for reestablishment of water supply in Ivanjica, as well as members of the Second Army Brigade engaged on repairing a road in Ivanjica village Vučak, which was completely devastated in previous several days by swallen river of Moravica.

After the tour, Chief of General Staff praised the engineers of the Serbian Armed Forces for professional execution of tasks and great efforts made to rehabilitate the road as quickly as possible which for the inhabitants of the village represents the only connection with the rest of the municipality.
Besides Ivanjica, where the members of the Serbian Armed Forces employed auto-cisterns as well in order to provide water supply for the citizens, members of the Serbian Armed Forces are also engaged on removal of effects of the floods in other municipalities. In Arilje, they assist in clearing flooded households, in Blace they are engaged on enabling water supply, while in Despotovac and Prokuplje they are determining requirements and capabilities for the engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces in the days ahead.

In accordance with the situation in the field, the Serbian Armed Forces will continue helping the most afflicted local self-governments in the days to come.
