Congratulatory message of the Minister of Defence on the Day of the Belgrade Centre of Military Medical Institutions

I extend my sincere congratulations to all the members of the Belgrade Centre of Military Medical Institutions on 9th June - the Day of the Centre.

On that day in 1922, the Belgrade Centre of Military Medical Institutions was established.

Continuing an almost century-long tradition, you have made a significant contribution to the health protection of professional military personnel, members of their families, soldiers on voluntary military service, students, cadets and persons undergoing professional training and performing military duties in the Serbian Armed Forces. Also, the attention you pay to the health protection of the elderly military retirees, i.e. the gerontology service, is extremely important.

In the year when Serbia fought against a cruel enemy - the COVID-19 virus, your members gave their best, showing once again the importance of the medical profession for the survival and strengthening of the defence system, but also the state and the entire mankind, for which we are all immensely grateful.

I wish you a happy holiday, convinced that in the coming period, by providing general medical and specialist services, you will achieve notable results in the field of preventive medicine, that you will represent a significant link with secondary and tertiary care military institutions and be a significant pillar of military healthcare.
