The battle of Ljubić took place on 6 June 1815 and it was the most significant battle in the Second Serbian Uprising. On that occasion, Tanasko Rajić, the Commander of the Serbian Artillery, was killed while guarding the cannons. Fortified Serbian trenches were on the Ljubić Hill. The Turks surrounded Rajić's position and managed to overpower him. However, the Turkish commander, Imshir Pasha, was also killed in the battle, and the Serbs managed to win the battle of Ljubić.
