Minister Vulin: It is a matter of time before the Croats return the portrait of Ante Pavelić to the Parliament
"After the decision of the High Misdemeanour Court of the Republic of Croatia that the Ustasha greeting "ready for home" is allowed at Thompson's concerts, it is only a matter of time before the portrait of Ante Pavelić is returned to the Parliament and the chessboard coat of arms from the flag of the Independent State of Croatia is put on the Croatian flag," the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said today, reacting to the verdict of the High Misdemeanour Court of the Republic of Croatia, which allows Marko Perković Thompson to shout "ready for home" at his concerts in Croatia, as reported by the Croatian daily “Jutarnji list”.
Vulin emphasized that "there were examples of Nazis shouting greetings to Hitler, but there were no examples of their shouting being approved by the court."
- The Ustasha simply never left power In Croatia. Croatia cannot be expected to give up the Ustasha ideology in which it genuinely believes, but the European Union must be expected to condemn such behaviour of its member state - said Minister Vulin.
