Minister Vulin: After 25 years, there has not been a single conviction for the crimes in Operation “Flash”

"It has been 25 years since Operation Flash, one of the numerous non-convicted criminal actions against Serbian civilians in the civil war in Croatia. Fifteen thousand Serbs were robbed and expelled from western Slavonia, where they had lived for centuries, 283 people were missing or killed, and, in keeping with the Ustasha unbroken tradition, eight dead Serbian children and 56 women were among them," the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said today.

He recalled that the United Nations had given their word that they would protect the Serbs; they deployed their troops, but only to move the Serbs and let the criminals burn and kill.

- After 25 years, there has not been a single conviction for the crimes in Operations Flash and Storm. It is up to us to remember and be prepared that Jasenovac genocide against the Serbs, the Flash and the criminal Storm never happen again - Minister Vulin said.
