Minister Vulin: If Vučić had not undertaken difficult reforms in 2014 we would not be able to provide all the conditions for treatment now

Addressing the MPs in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia at today's session, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin pointed out that it was said that the government had made enemies with the members of our diaspora.

- If this was true, where did the members of the Serbian diaspora return and how did they come? These are our citizens, we have received them with the utmost care and joy and I ask them not to go back to the countries that have shown what they think of them in these difficult times. This government and Aleksandar Vučić provided not only free flights, but also corridors and motorways when the entire Europe was blocked - said the Minister of Defence, adding that we fought for each citizen to come back to Serbia.

He confirmed that no one has paid a single dinar for the coronavirus treatment in Serbia.

- Not a single chloroquine has been charged here and whoever came to either the temporary hospital or any other health care facility, no one asked them for their health insurance card or the type of health insurance.

Do you have the symptoms? If you do, you are treated like the richest man in the world. This is not the case even in the richest countries in the world. In America, they bury people in mass graves if they cannot pay. In Serbia, which is poor but is getting better all the time, no one was buried in a mass grave or left without a cure, without a hospital bed or a respirator - Minister Vulin emphasized, adding that we should be proud of such a state and not look for its flaws.
Minister Vulin said that everyone who came from the diaspora was welcome because they are our people.

- I am proud of that, and I ask them not to go, not to go back. I ask them to stay and see for themselves that this country is better than the ones they left. It would not be possible if Vučić had not undertaken serious reforms in 2014, if we had not passed the Labour Law in this Parliament, for which Aleksandar Vučić was crucified and people protested against me at that time. If it hadn’t been for that, this state would not exist, the state that is able to buy chloroquine and treat people with it free of charge and to provide all the conditions for treatment. So you should swallow your political pride and say – this is good, it is good that Serbia can treat everyone for free - said the Minister of Defence.

- The fact that Serbia can give 4,000 dinars to each pensioner and 100 euros to every citizen is good, as well as the fact that the state of Serbia can give three minimum wages to everyone - said the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin.
