The engagement of the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN units in the fight against Covid-19
Members of the Serbian Armed Forces’ CBRN units are still engaged in taking measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19 throughout the Republic of Serbia.
Preventative disinfection of streets and public areas in Varvarin was carried out today.
CBRN units daily perform biological disinfection of people and movable objects at the Belgrade and Novi Sad Fairs and in the “Čair” Hall in Niš in order to control and prevent the spread of Covid-19.
Also, one team is daily engaged in vehicle disinfection and medical inspection of doctors from the People's Republic of China and members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces who participate in the prevention of the spread of Covid-19.
A number of mobile teams are working in different directions on the preventative disinfection of roads and public areas. For this task a vehicle called “M-78 tank truck for decontamination“ is engaged, using sodium hypochlorite as a disinfectant.
Based on the request of the City Emergency Management HQ, a team is also engaged in the disinfection of streets and public areas in Ćuprija, as well as roads from the Senj mines to the “Pasuljanske livade” Military Complex and roads within the “Pasuljanske livade” Military Complex.
CBRN units are carrying out tasks respecting all general protective measures in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19 and special protective measures while performing disinfection tasks.
