Minister Vulin at the Military Hospital in Novi Sad: I am proud of the retired doctors who have responded to the call of their armed forces
Today, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin visited the Military Hospital in Novi Sad, where he made sure the military healthcare facility is ready to receive and treat patients with acute respiratory infections.
During the visit, Minister Vulin spoke to the retired military doctors, who responded to the call to join the health care institutions during a state of emergency and use their knowledge and experience to contribute to the treatment of hospitalized patients.

- The military doctors we have called up, and who have responded to the first call of their armed forces and their country will help just such patients and I thank them very much for that. I am proud of them and as you can see, once a soldier - always a soldier. Being retired does not change anything - Minister Vulin emphasized.
The Serbian Armed Forces have to respond to numerous challenges such as the preparation of the Military Hospital in Novi Sad and all military health care facilities, which would be at service of the citizens and help fight the coronavirus, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin said after his visit to the Military Hospital in Novi Sad today.

- We work every day and we also perform all the tasks given by the Military Healthcare Department - said Lieutenant Colonel Koruga, M.D. adding that the Military Hospital in Novi Sad has the capacity of about 100 beds. The Military Hospital’s doctors are also engaged in the treatment of patients in the reception centres in Subotica and Novi Sad.
Retired Colonel Milorad Regodić, a general surgeon, responded to the call of the Ministry of Defence to be engaged during a state of emergency. Together with his colleagues from the Military Hospital, including surgeons, internists, ENT specialists and gastroenterologists, he will be recruited as needed and assist patients infected with the coronavirus.
- We have responded to the call of our armed forces and the state and are ready for any task - said Dr. Regodic.
