The Protector of Citizens Zoran Pašalić: Belgrade Fair meets all the requirements and can be used immediately
The Ombudsman, Zoran Pašalić visited the temporary hospital today at the Belgrade Fair, which was adapted by the members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces to accommodate people with mild symptoms of the coronavirus disease.
- It is important that all the requirements prescribed by the Rulebook have been met, especially those relating to different entries, so that the disease cannot spread. We have also inspected the facilities that are necessary for staying here, such as toilets and other rooms that would accommodate citizens who come here - said the ombudsman after visiting the temporary hospital at the Belgrade Fair.
- We have thoroughly inspected everything to make sure that the principles, the requirements of the Rulebook for such quarantines, for hospitals, were implemented. We leave here with the impression that this place is ready to be used immediately - said Ombudsman Zoran Pašalić.
The Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces provide logistics and secure the temporary hospital at the Belgrade Fair, while the Ministry of Health is responsible for providing medical care.
The temporary hospital is equipped with the necessary medical equipment in the dispensary for internal and emergency medicine, psychological assistance is provided as well as an X-ray room connected to the Clinical Centre. There are areas for dining, watching television and religious purposes and books and magazines are available.
