Intensified measures of the Serbian Armed Forces to suppress Covid-19 in Valjevo
Following the orders of the President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, the decision of the Minister of Defence, Aleksandar Vulin, and the orders of the Chief of General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, the Serbian Armed Forces are providing enhanced support in the suppression of Covid-19 in Valjevo, which is one of the hotspots of this infectious disease.
The Serbian Armed Forces are engaged in securing the Healthcare Centre in that city, controlling entry and exit and preventing the uncontrolled movement of citizens within the hospital’s grounds, with the aim of preventing the spread of the infection.
Starting today, the members of the Serbian Armed Forces will disinfect streets, squares and other public areas in Valjevo at a time when the ban on movement in public places is in effect. The priority is to disinfect areas near the health centre, general hospitals and dispensaries.
The Serbian Armed Forces will continue providing support to the local governments, the healthcare system and other state bodies, and are ready for the task of fighting and preventing the spread of Covid-19 disease.
