The Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China has sent a letter of support and solidarity to Serbia
"True friends are recognized in times of need. Since the outbreak of the epidemic, Serbia has steadfastly stood by China; President Vučić has expressed solidarity and support for China. This fully reflects the firm friendship and the traditional mutual support between China and Serbia, and we will always remember that," said the Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China, General Zhang Youxia, in a letter of support.
General Youxia replied with words of support to a letter which Minister Aleksandar Vulin sent him in support of the Chinese people in the most difficult days of the fight against the coronavirus."Your Excellency's letter, filled with care and solidarity, has deeply moved us," wrote General Youxia.
In the letter he said that, since the outbreak of the epidemic, feeling responsible for the Chinese people and the international community, President Xi Jinping has ordered the Communist Party, the military and the entire country to respond swiftly and to take comprehensive, rigorous and thorough measures to prevent and control the epidemic and to gradually see the results.
"The Chinese people have the capability and confidence to win this battle against the epidemic," General Youxia wrote in his letter.
According to him, the epidemic has once again reminded us that humanity, faced with the relentless rage of the virus, is a community formed by fate and that only through close cooperation and mutual support can we meet this challenge and achieve common development.
"The Chinese side pays great importance to the development of military relations between China and Serbia. In the past year, we have paid mutual visits and reached agreements in many areas. This year, I would like to enhance the exchange, deepen the cooperation and achieve even better results in military cooperation, side by side with Your Excellency, in order to contribute to the improvement of relations between the two countries and to maintaining peace in the region and the world," stresses the Vice-Chairman of the Central Military Commission of the People's Republic of China, General Zhang Youxia, in his letter to Minister Vulin.
