China is our friend even in the most difficult moments
The President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, deals with the coronavirus on a daily basis, and Serbia should be proud of him and his speech in which he explained what is happening in the world and in our country. He also explained how the People's Republic of China on the one hand, and the European Union on the other hand, treat Serbia, the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin pointed out on TV Pink’s programme “Novo jutro”.
Minister Vulin stressed that after the President's speech, which echoed in the world, support from around the world has started coming, because finally a small country has mustered up the courage to tell the truth and do whatever it takes to fight for its rights.
The European Union has shown that it cares only about itself, and even that there is no intra-EU solidarity, because each member state cares for itself, said Minister Vulin, adding that it would be "reasonable to expect that all candidate countries who have been negotiating membership for so long, will at least get a status which will enable them to purchase goods from the EU. We did not ask them to give us respirators and other necessities, we wanted to buy them. They said: No, we only have enough for ourselves. "
Minister Vulin emphasized the friendly attitude of China towards Serbia, which is also reflected in the country's willingness to help us fight the coronavirus, and stressed that the good relations between the two countries are greatly influenced by the personal friendship between the Serbian President Vučić and the Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Although it has faced hundreds of thousands of coronavirus patients, although it has other issues, China has found the time and opportunity to ask Serbia what it needs, stressed Minister Vulin, pointing out that Serbia is not the only country that has turned to China for assistance at this time.
