ANNOUNCEMENT

With regard to the new false news and fabrications published in today’s issue of “Pobjeda” tabloid, under the headline "Virus Vulin and How to Cure Yourself", the Ministry of Defence informs the public that the alleged documents published in the tabloid are non-existent, or fabricated, with false information, reference numbers and forged signatures.

These false documents, which are the most perfidious forgeries, are dated 15 October 2019 and they are designated "military secret", "strictly confidential", with the forged signature of Bratislav Gašić, who has not been the Minister of Defence since March 2016, and since then he has not been allowed to nor has he signed any documents designated as "military secret“.

The false document also bears a forged signature of civilian Zoran Stojanov, a desk officer at the Military Film Centre "Zastava Film", who was promoted by the tabloid’s lies into no less than a "security official" of Serbia!

Civilian Zoran Stojanov was authorized to handle requests for access to information of public interest from the jurisdiction of the Public Relations Department until August 2019, and even then he was not entitled to sign classified documents. Obviously, the “Pobjeda” tabloid forged his signature from an open document from the period when he was an authorized person and sent written responses to citizens' requests.

Since this is absolutely false news and a forgery aimed at intimidating the public and the citizens of the Republic of Montenegro and completely unfounded allegations at the expense of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia expects that the competent authorities of the Republic of Montenegro take legal measures ex officio and prevent further spread of false news.
