Minister Vulin at the key-handover ceremony in Vranje: Vučić is the first president of Serbia who initiated a systematic resolution of housing issues of the members of security services

- I congratulate the members of security forces on this important day, a big day for all of us, for your families and your town, but also for our ministries and the entire security system. Aleksandar Vučić is the first president of Serbia since Tito’s time, the first Serbian leader who has initiated a systematic and organised resolution of housing issues of all the members of security services.

We have been waiting for decades for a man who will be able to organise the whole country and say that members of the security services have a reason to be taken care of, to be respected and to have more favourable opportunities to solve this very important life problem –said the Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin today in Vranje where he handed over the keys to the newly built flats to members of the security forces, which they had bought on more favourable terms in the first building in Vranje.

After decades of waiting, Minister Vulin pointed out, we have come to see that members of the security forces are being taken care of in a special way, to say how exceptional they are, how important they are, and how much this country thinks and cares about them.

- I am very happy to see children playing here already, which means that the playground is where it is supposed to be and the children have recognized that, and you can't fool children. I am proud to be here with you, proud to see so many children and I am happy that there will be even more of them here, because you, who have decided to buy flats this way, have thus decided to be a member of the security service forever. You have tied your destiny to your own country, with an occupation that keeps us all safe. I want to thank you for that and to wish you happiness and good health. Take care of yourselves and your families just as you take care of us all and just as you take care of Serbia - Minister Vulin said.

Keys to 22 newly built flats for the members of the security forces who bought them on more favourable terms were also handed over by the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Internal Affairs Nebojša Stefanović and the Mayor of Vranje, Slobodan Milenković.

Minister Stefanović emphasized that with the construction of flats for members of the security forces a much more important process started - the process of building a future for the people in our country. That means, Minister Stefanović added, that they can rest assured that their salaries will increase every year and that they will be big enough to pay for those apartments, which were offered to members of the security forces at much lower prices than the market ones, because both President Vučić and the Government of Serbia want to show in this way how much they respect what the members of the security forces do for Serbia, because they are always on the front line.

The mayor of Vranje Milenkovic pointed out that it is planned to build infrastructure facilities, as well as service facilities around the constructed buildings for members of the security forces, which will significantly contribute to the quality of life of the residents of that part of Vranje.

The member of the Fourth Army Brigade, Major Igor Đorđević received today a key to his new flat in Radoja Dakića Street in Vranje.

- This is a wonderful moment for me and my family. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces for making it possible for me and my colleagues to buy these flats on really favourable terms and for showing that they really care about the security forces - said Major Đorđevic, who has rented a flat so far, but will soon move into his new three-bedroom flat with his family, wife and son, and thus permanently solve their housing problem.
