Minister Vulin at the ceremony marking the Day of Srebrenica Municipality: The way you treat Serbs is the way you treat Serbia

The Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin attended the ceremony marking the Day of Srebrenica Municipality, which started with the Session of the Srebrenica Municipality Assembly at the Cultural Centre in that town.

Minister Vulin congratulated the citizens of Srebrenica on their municipality’s Day and wished them never to fight for freedom again, but to live in freedom, to enjoy it and to last in peace.

- I am proud of President Aleksandar Vučić and his decision to grant the municipality of Srebrenica five million euros in aid without asking who the aid is for. It is not meant solely for the Serbs or the Bosniaks, but for the citizens of Srebrenica in general. I am proud of everything that has been done in this way and for showing what Serbia's policy is and how much Serbia takes care of everyone in need, regardless of their religion or nationality. I am sorry that the representatives of other nations do not follow the example of Aleksandar Vučić and do not often act in the same way. They first ask about the religion and nationality of those in need and only then decide whether they will help them or not – said Minister Vulin.

According to him, the President of the Republic and the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić has shown that he is a representative of a free, independent Serbia, and a man who pursues an unconditional peace policy, the only kind of policy than can preserve peace in the whole region.

- The way you treat Serbs is the way you treat Serbia. Serbia is a guardian and a guarantor of the Dayton Agreement and it will do whatever it takes to ensure that the Dayton Agreement is implemented exactly as agreed and signed, and it will do anything to preserve peace and stability in this region. Serbia loves its Republika Srpska and respects Bosnia and Herzegovina, and it will do everything in its power to preserve peace in this region – Minister Vulin said.

- Congratulating the citizens of Srebrenica on their municipality’s Day, the Minister of Energy and Mining of Republika Srpska Petar Đokić pointed out that today’s gathering is very important for Srebrenica which is developing and making progress.

- It is developing thanks to the selfless support and assistance of all the institutions of Republika Srpska. On this day, we also want to stress how important the cooperation with the Republic of Serbia is for Srebrenica and Republika Srpska. We also want to emphasize the importance of the assistance which the Government of Serbia and the President of Serbia AleksandarVučić have donated to the Municipality of Srebrenica so far. It is evident that this kind of assistance has given concrete results; it is being invested in the construction of new production plants where people will work – the minister stressed.

He has expressed special gratitude to Minister Vulin who is always with the citizens of Republika Srpska, on joyous occasions such as this one, but also on sad occasions when we commemorate with sadness something that is behind us.

As the Mayor of Srebrenica Mladen Grujičić pointed out, the Day of Srebrenica Municipality is an opportunity to present the municipality’s potentials, what has been done so far, and what is planned for the next period, but also to express gratitude to all donors who helped the development of Srebrenica in the past. He proudly pointed out that as many as three businesses are opening this year, all thanks to the Government of the Republic of Serbia, which has donated funds that the municipality has invested in the purchase and construction of production plants which will provide new jobs.
