I extend my sincere congratulations to all members of the Military Intelligence Agency on the occasion of 5th March–the Day of the Military Intelligence Agency.
Continuing the tradition of the Foreign Section, established in 1884 as a part of the Main General Staff’s Operations Division, which analysed countries and armed forces of European and neighbouring countries, chiefly their organisation, manning, composition, strength, deployment, education and structure, through professional execution of assigned tasks, you have demonstrated that you are a key factor of the intelligence-security system of both the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces and the Republic of Serbia.
I congratulate this holiday to you, confident that you will further improve the Agency’s work by overcoming future challenges with equal success.
Congratulatory message on the occasion of the Day of Intelligence Service
I congratulate 5th March – the Day of Intelligence Service to all its members.
In commemoration of the day when the Decree on the General Staff Service was issued in 1884 by which, for the first time in the history of the modern Serbian state, an organisational unit of the armed forces was established which dealt exclusively with military intelligence work – you have maintained a more than a century long tradition and by successful completion of tasks you show the necessity and justifiability of the existence of the intelligence service.
I congratulate this holiday to you and wish that you successfully overcome future challenges and thus provide stability to the defence system of the Republic of Serbia.
