Congratulatory message from Minister of Defence on the Defence Inspectorate Day




 
I extend to all members of the Defence Inspectorate my best wishes as they celebrate 26th February – the Defence Inspectorate Day.
 
On this date, exactly 109 years ago, King Petar I Karađorđević passed a Decree on the General Inspection of the entire armed forces, pursuant to the Law on the establishment of the Armed Forces and Law on establishment of the Ministry of War. The decree prescribes the composition, competencies and powers of the General Inspectorate, which prvides formal and legal grounds for a unified inspection of the Serbian army.
 
Continuing a long tradition, in the previous period you have successfully carried out tasks related to the implementation of laws in the field of defence and relevant to defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, regulations passed pursuant to laws, plans and measures of public bodies, organisations and the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as other activities in the purview of inspection.
 
I congratulate you on your holiday, confident that you will continue to perform your duties professionally as before.
