US Ambassador Delivered Lecture to Addenders of ASDS
Today, Ambassador of the United States of America in Serbia Anthony Godfrey delivered a lecture to attenders of the ninth class of Advanced Security and Defence Studies of National Defence School on the topic of “the US with particular geo-political and geo-strategic reference to global, regional and national stability”.
During the lecture, Ambassador Godfrey underlined that the US are dedicated to maintaining a transparent relations with all the countries of the Western Balkans, and that strong and free Europe is of great importance for the USA. He stated that Serbia enjoys support of the USA regarding maintenance of regional stability and prosperity, development of democratic values and the rule of law and economic growth.
The US Ambassador provided an insight into the activities and priority measures that the USA implements at the regional level of the Western Balkans, chiefly for the purpose of enhancing the partnership with Serbia, great contribution to economic development and unselfish assistance to Serbia on its path to European integration.
Ambassador Godfrey spoke about US National Security Strategy as well, and positions relating to global and regional stability, and about modern risks and threats to security.
Today’s lecture was attended by Head of Military Academy Major General Bojan Zrnić PhD, Head of National Defence School Colonel Mićo Suvajac, and attenders of the National Defence School and members of the Strategic Research Institute of the University of Defence.
