Minister Vulin: The aim is complete disempowerment of the Republic of Srpska
- It is obvious that the aim is complete disempowerment of the Republic of Srpska, infringement of the Dayton Treaty, to make the Republic of Srpska an “empty shell” which guarantees nothing to its citizens. The Republic of Srpska was created by will of the Serbian people on 9th January, and it was founded by will of the Serbian people for the purpose of preserving the Serbs from the genocide of Jasenovac. To prevent it happening again. Every reduction, diminishing, emptying of capacities of the Republic of Srpska represents a serious threat to physical survival of the Serbian people. It is not political, but physical survival that is in question - said Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin appearing in the television programme “New Morning” on Pink television station.
Minister Vulin stressed that first a decision had been made that the Republic of Srpska did not have right to have its date and the right to its holiday.
- And now, you have passed a decision according to which “the agricultural land belongs to Bosnia and Herzegovina”. The next decision which is being prepared is that all forests and all water belong to Bosnia and Herzegovina. There are no gold mines in the Republic of Srpska, but there exists hydropower potential, and there is the Drina river and there are forests. Those are the things that make the advantages of the Republic of Srpska. Now, you will take that from them too? So how do you expect that the Republic of Srpska will remain quiet and just observe it all? - Minister Vulin asked.
- They constantly refer to the rule of law. First of all, that Constitutional Court had to be replaced by new ones after five years. But if we disregard that fact as well, the question is if anyone remembers that the Constitutional Court passed a decision on Mostar according to which elections are to be held. That has not been implement to this very day. That does not matter; that is not important. The Democratic Action Party passed a platform at its congress held several months ago which states that their strategic goal is the abolition of the Republic of Srpska - and that is precisely what is being done now - Minister Vulin concluded.
