In Memoriam: Pavle Bulatović
On 7 February 2000, the Minister of Defense of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Pavle Bulatović, was killed. The assassination took place while he was sitting in the restaurant of the “Rad” Club in Belgrade in the early evening.
Members of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces remember with pride and esteem the Minister of Defense, Pavle Bulatović, who was dedicated to strengthening the military, and advocated highly professional and responsible work.
Let us remember Pavle Bulatović’s honesty, his firm commitment to a common state and the union of Serbia and Montenegro, created in the fight for freedom and linked by a common history.
Pavle Bulatović was born on 13 December 1948 in Gornji Rovci, not far from Kolašin in Montenegro. He graduated from and worked as an Assistant at the Faculty of Economics in Podgorica. He also worked as Editor-in-Chief of the University newspaper “Univerzitetska riječ” (“University Word”).
He was the Minister of Interior of Montenegro and was killed while serving as Federal Minister of Defense.
