Meeting of Minister Vulin with President of the National Assembly of Angola Dias dos Santos
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin met President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Angola Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos in the Small War Hall of the Old General Staff.
During the talks about the enhancement of defence cooperation, it was stressed that the Republic of Angola is a strategic partner of the Republic of Serbia in the central and southern Africa.
As Minister Vulin emphasised, the Republic of Serbia immensely appreciates the principled support of the Republic of Angola in defence of the principles of international law, and he expressed gratitude for the firm position and support of the Republic of Angola in preservation of territorial integrity and sovereignty of the Republic of Serbia in relation to the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija.
Minister Vulin noted that the Republic of Serbia is oriented towards further enhancement of cooperation in the field of defence, particularly military-to-military, military-economic, military-educational and military medical cooperation which is the focus of work of the Joint Serbia-Angola Committee for Cooperation and of the projects proposed for the upcoming period.
President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Angola Dias dos Santos underlined the freedom-loving tradition that the two peoples share and he strongly condemned the “criminal NATO aggression” against the FR Yugoslavia in 1999, expressing solidarity with the Serbian people and desire to visit the exhibition “Defence 78”.
The meeting was attended by State Secretary Aleksandar Živković, Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Milan Ranković MsC, Assistnt Minister for Material Resources Nenad Miloradović PhD, and Head of the Military Academy Major General Bojan Zrnić.
