Expert Talks on Military Cooperation between Serbia and Turkey
A delegation of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces stayed in the Republic of Turkey for the purpose of holding expert talks in the field of international military cooperation with representatives of the Armed Forces of Turkey.
Acting Head of Department for International Military Cooperation of Defence Policy Sector, Colonel Miroslav Glišić, who led the delegation, talked to Head of Department for Foreign Affairs of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey Brigadier General Ümüt Yildiz, while the members of Serbian delegation met the Chief of Policy and Plans Division of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Turkey Major General Reha Ufuk Er.During the talks a review was conducted of the hitherto military cooperation and guidelines of mutual interest were harmonised for the further development of the cooperation. Also, the Serbian and Turkish side presented the engagement of their troops in multinational operations worldwide.
Expert talks represent a regular activity, during which the areas and content of cooperation are planned, and their implementation monitored, and the sides exchange experience on organisation of armed forces and their engagement in international environment.
