Minister Vulin: No one is responsible for the damage done to the state
Defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said today before the MPs that the Ministry of Defence has paid over 7.2 billion dinars in compensation for discrimination to reservists so far.
- The smallest part of it went to reservists, and the largest to lawyers. The Ministry of Defence filed multiple criminal charges against lawyers who represented some reservists without authorisation. So, they would come to an association, get lists and sue on behalf of everyone in the group. We have also filed criminal charges against lawyers who have twice sued, for the same person in several courts in our country, and again when it passes on the group criminal complaint. This is sometimes noticed and sometimes not – the minister of defence said, adding that the state has been aggrieved with billions.
- It should not be forgotten that the same yellow government damaged the state with one decision not to pay the military pensioners an increase they were entitled to in accordance with the law, which is why the state of Serbia paid more than RSD 10 billion. You can just sum up only these two simple figures and see how much the state has been aggrieved while no one is happy – the minister of defence said.
-The pensioners are not happy because they had to sue the state and wait for ten years to be finally paid. The reservists are not happy either, because they received two, three thousand dinars. They received nothing. Nobody happy, nobody satisfied, and the state so badly damaged. Unfortunately, no one is charged with that. Billions went up in the air on the basis of deliberate, erroneous decisions, which were subsequently resolved by the constitutional courts and thus punished the state – minister Aleksandar Vulin said.
