Minister Vulin: “Krušik Operation” is a form of hybrid warfare, and the goal is to weaken our military
- Cyber warfare is the war of the next century. Cyber defence is something that is new to the Serbian Armed Forces, but also much larger and more developed than we are. It is not just as we imagine: some hackers sit and wage war with each other, as we watch in films. This is an area of hybrid warfare, a hybrid threat to the security of a country, and it is not only as when someone attacks your power distribution networks shutting off electricity, which of course is not small, but also comments in social media, spreading misinformation, presenting certain directions and stories that should present your country in a bad light, bring doubt, restlessness. A classic example of this is what they call the “Krušik affair”. This is not a “Krušik affair”, it is a “Krušik operation” – defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said as a guest on Pink’s morning television programme.
