Minister Vulin: The Serbian Armed Forces is stronger today and its members are more satisfied

“The fact is that the Serbian Armed Forces is stronger than it was and that the members of the Serbian Armed Forces are more satisfied than they were. We had salary increases on two occasions this year, which has not happened to us since the JNA’s time. This year, it was for the first time that we obtained new weapons and these are state-of-the-art ones. Our pilots are flying H-145s, Mi-35s and Mi-17s, the most state-of-the-art aircraft in their segment. They are not only new but also state-of-the-art”, defence minister Aleksandar Vulin said on Pink TV.

The minister of defence added that the Serbian Armed Forces can boast that commander-in-chief Aleksandar Vučić, directly and daily takes care of the armed forces, armaments, and position of the members every day. “He has always been there when it was necessary to help in relations with other state bodies, and it is felt. The Serbian Armed Forces feels it and sees it. Our responsibility is enormous. The Serbian Armed Forces has a responsibility to preserve the peace, security and safety of all our citizens; not only the citizens of the Republic of Serbia, but all Serbs wherever they live. It is a great responsibility for us and we must be ready to fulfil it and be worthy of the responsibility.”

“The training of our members has been raised to a higher level, as well. We spend more time training not only our pilots, but every member of our military goes through a very serious programme of training, continuous conditioning, maintaining the achieved capabilities and, of course, advancement. This is the task of every army – to be prepared. In the Balkans you always have to be prepared. And if you are prepared you can hope that there will be peace and that it is safe. If you are not prepared, there is always someone to take advantage of your weaknesses and shortcomings, “Minister Vulin said in his guest appearance at Pink TV.
