Presentation of Certificates to Attenders of Training on Project Management Implementing Methodology PRINCE2
Today, on the premises of OSCE Mission in the Republic of Serbia, certificates were presented to attenders of training on project management using methodology PRINCE2. The OSCE Mission in the Republic of Serbia organised and financially supported the training in collaboration with the Directorate for European Integration and Project Management of the Ministry of Defence.
The certificates were presented to the attenders of the training by Acting Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Milan Ranković MSc and Head of OSCE Mission in Serbia Ambassador Andrea Orizio.
Assistant Minister of Defence Ranković thanked the OSCE Mission in Serbia and Ambassador Orizio for the support rendered to the Ministry of Defence in the field of development of national capacities for participation of civilian experts in peacekeeping operations, and in the field of management of projects which had been jointly implemented in the previous period.Ambassador Orizio stated that the OSCE actively supported the defence system and development of its capacities for participation in missions of the European Union and United Nations. He highlighted that he expected that the gained skills would enable the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces to more efficiently implement policies and strategies both the national and international ones. Orizio added that in that manner Serbia would be better positioned to receive international funds and maximise its influence on future projects and their implementation.
Assistant Minister Ranković and Ambassador Orizio agreed that in the previous period the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces and the OSCE Mission in Serbia had carried out numerous projects, but that there existed room for future cooperation in other areas as well.
Director of SIDERA Company, which is the only authorised licence owner for certification using methodology PRINCE2, Mario Bojadžić, expressed his satisfaction with cooperation with the members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces who had displayed exceptional dedication and professionalism during the training and testing.PRINCE2 is an internationally recognised methodology for project management. The goal of the training, which was successfully completed by seven members of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces from different organisational units, is for our members to acquire competence and skills in the field of project management.
