Anniversary of the Battle of Kadinjača marked
A delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces laid a wreath today at the memorial to the heroes of Kadinjača marking the 78th anniversary of the Battle of Kadinjača.
State Secretary at the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veterans and Social Affairs, Zoran Antić, Mayor of the City of Užice, representatives of SUBNOR (Association of National Liberation War Veterans of Serbia), the associations for the nurturing and upholding the traditions of the Serbian Liberation Wars and numerous citizens also laid wreaths at the monument within the memorial complex “Kadinjača” near Užice.
The organizers of the state ceremony are the Committee for Preserving the Traditions of the Serbian Liberation Wars, the City of Užice and the National Museum in Užice.
The memorial complex near Užice testifies to the heroism of the members of the Workers’ Battalion who were killed at the Kadinjača battle on 29 November 1941.
