Celebration of the Military Security Agency Day
Day of Military Security Agency and a great jubilee of 180 years of organised security protection of the armed forces were marked today by today’s celebration held in the building of the Old General Staff, which was attended by Envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Milorad Veljović, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin and Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces General Milan Mojsilović.
Congratulating the holiday, Minister Vulin stated that the fatherland expected from the members of the Military Security Agency unconditional dedication, unconditional obedience and implementation of the orders of the Supreme Commander and state leadership, and that the state and armed forces expected from them to have confidence in their country and their people.
On the occasion of marking the Day of Military Security Agency, the youngest member of the Military Security Agency presented a commemorative plaque of the Military Security Agency to Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin.
Day of the Military Security Agency - 12th November is marked in memory of the same date in 1839, when the Military Law was passed in the Principality of Serbia, which was the first legal act that systematically and for the first time comprehensively elaborated the forms of threats to security of armed forces as well as the issues of security protection of the armed forces.
