Salvo on the Victory Day in World War I

Today, the Serbian Armed Forces Guard fired a salvo of ten volleys from six artillery pieces on the Sava Terrace at Kalemegdan, marking the Victory Day in World War I, in accordance with the order of the president of the Republic of Serbia and the commander-in-chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić.
The salvo on the eve of the holiday was attended by Major General Petar Cvetković, deputy chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces and Major General Milomir Todorović, commander of the Guard.

The anthem ‘God of Justice’, with the raising of the national flag of the Republic of Serbia, was performed by the Representative Guard Orchestra.
The Victory Day in World War I has been celebrated as a national holiday in Serbia since 2012, in memory of 11th November 1918, when the Entente forces signed a ceasefire with Germany, thus ending the World War I.
