State Secretary Živković meets French Senator Ms Conway-Mouret
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Aleksandar Živković met with Ms Hélène Conway-Mouret, Vice President of the French Senate in charge of the French citizens living abroad and a member of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Armed Forces.
As it was emphasised during the meeting, the visit of French president Emmanuel Macron to Serbia and his meeting with president of the Republic of Serbia and commander-in-chief of the Serbian Armed Forces, Aleksandar Vučić, in the year when we are marking the 140th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relations, further strengthened the friendship of the Serbian and French peoples.
State Secretary Živković pointed out that the Republic of Serbia is fully committed to military neutrality, in accordance with the resolution of the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
State Secretary Živković stressed that the Ministry of Defence will continue to pursue a balanced defence policy and constantly work on improvement and further qualitative development of defence relations with all states and international organisations, in accordance with national interests and foreign policy priorities.
At the end of today's meeting, it was concluded that the defence cooperation between Serbia and France, was developed with the potential for its further enhancement.
