Meeting of Minister Vulin and General Youxia
Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vulin met Vice-President of Central Military Commission of PR China General Zhang Youxia at official working lunch which he hosted for the members of Serbian delegation.
General Zhang expressed gratitude to the minister for hospitable welcome and organisation of the visit from Chinese delegation, which he led, to Serbia. He said that he had been particularly honoured to meet President and Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić during his visit to Belgrade to whom he extended cordial greetings. He evaluated the friendship between Serbia and China was strong and unwavering.During the meeting Minister Vulin and Vice-President of the Central Military Commission agreed that a great progress had been made only a month after the visit from General Zhang to Belgrad in the field of bilateral military cooperation which was rendered concrete with new projects and plans to be implemented in the near future.
According to evaluation of Minister Vulin and General Zhang, military technical cooperation was being conducted according to envisaged dynamics. They confirmed that the Serbian Armed Forces and People’s Liberation Army of Chine would conduct their first joint exercise in the following year, and that the cooperation would be developed in the field of military medicine, CBRN and cyber security.
