Serbian - French commemorative ceremony
Delegation of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces laid wreaths at the French Military Cemetery in Zaječarand at the memorial to the men from Timok fallen in the Balkan Wars and the First World War, paying tribute to the fallen French and Moroccan soldiers and officers in the First World War, as well as to Timok men fallen in the Balkans Wars and the First World War.
Representatives of the Ministry of Labor, Employment, Veteransand Social Affairs, the Embassy of the Republic of France in the Republic of Serbia, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in the Republic of Serbia, the City of Zaječarand associations of the citizens committed to preserving and upholding the traditions of liberation wars of Serbia also laid wreaths at today’s state ceremony on the occasion of the joint Serbian-French commemoration.
The French Military Cemetery in Zaječar represents, after the French Military Cemetery in Belgrade, the second largest French military memorial at the territory of Serbia.
