Minister Vulin: The Serbian Armed Forces are returning where they belong
Today, Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vulin attened the main raicing day at the event “Serbian Armed Forces Cup - Karađorđevo 2019”.
According to Minister Vulin, the Serbian Armed Forces are returning where they belong - in the everyday life of each of us.
- The equestrian sport used to be a part of the Serbian Armed Forces, and it was deleted as majority of things that made the Serbian Armed Forces worthy of repeating. We are restoring that sport and this is the second time that we are in the Horse Farm “Karađorđevo” in Bačka Palanka. This is the second time that thousands of fans of equestrian sport have gathered here, but all those who love their armed forces and their state have gathered here as well - the minister of defence said.
He underlined that on that day, the Serbian Armed Forces after decades of planned neglect and destruction, were more equipped, armed and stronger and their members better trained.- Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces Aleksandar Vučić particularly insists that all members of the Serbian Armed Forces are financially provided for, that they have better and secure living, and they are returning that to their country in the best possible way. Serbia is as strong as its Serbian Armed Forces are - Minister Vulin said and added that “the Serbian Armed Forces are ready to respond to every challenge and request, and ready to protect the Serbs wherever they live, and that they are a guarantee that we will continue deciding for ourselves and that we will preserve military neutrality”.
The minister of defence attend a march-past of participants in the main racing day, the main canter race “Čegar”, and main galloping race for the Serbian Armed Forces Cup - “Serbian Cavalry Division”.
This year’s winner in 2000 metre race “Serbian Cavalry Division” is a rider Kristijan Gnjezi and his horse “Krasiva”, and the cup was presented to him by Minister Vulin.
The second place in that race was taken by Dejan Lazarević with his horse “Primadona Lady”, while the third place went to Goran Mešetović and his horse “Ornament”.
Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces Major General Petar Cvetković presented the cup to winning horse “San Siro” and rider Ivan Mukić, who won the first place in the main 2,200 meters long canter race “Čegar” for up to three years old horses. The second place went to rider Branislav Mukić and horse “Montecatini”, while the third place was won by Josip Gabrić with horse “Ian Ianis A.T”.The visitors of today’s main racing and the last day of the event “Serbian Armed Forces Cup - Karađorđevo 2019” could enjoy in march-past of participants and four canter and four galloping races.
