Congratulatory Message of the Minister of Defence on the Occasion of Special Brigade Day





I congratulate 29th September - Special Brigade Day to all its members.
 
Thirteen years ago, the Special Brigade was formed upon decision of then minister of defence by unifying the 72nd Special Brigade, the 63rd Parachute Brigade and parts of the 82nd Maritime Centre and the “Cobras” Counter-Terrorism Detachment.
 
Continuing the tradition of anti-ranger, anti-terrorist, reconnaissance, parachuting and diving units, through successful execution of tasks, you have positioned yourselves as an important element of maintenance and advancement of tactical and operational capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces units.
 
Ever since the establishment of the units, you have prepared and executed special force operations at a high level and with great success, through engagement in the most difficult tasks, maintaining a high level of security and defence of the Republic of Serbia.
 
I congratulate this holiday to you, confident that you will continue achieving notable results in the future as well.
